Backlog of all backlogs. i know, i know. But these photos deserve more than just a space in the hard drive and i had a great time catching up with the other Cebu Fashion Bloggers and being an erstwhile beach girl, you wouldn't think i'd pass up on an event for hardcore Havainaticos, right?

"Make Your Own Havaianas was held last August 2-5.Havaianas is celebrating its 50th year thus making this Make Your Own Havaianas the most special yet.exhibit of the Havaianas brand's history was featured at the event and made for an interesting walk through as the brand's exciting journey was revealed from its origins in Brazil in 1962 to the present day. This was also depicted through an
amazing moving live sand art performance by award winning sand artist Joseph Erwin Valerio that left everyone in awe
It was a festive atmosphere and the attendance of notable personalities and Havaianaticos added to the colorful vibe. Pins featured this year were reminiscent of the brand's heritage- 1962, Brasilpinas,
soccer ball as well as pins that express a person's individuality- Crystal, Aviators, Gold heart, butterfly, letter pins which were used to spell names for a truly personalized pair, macaw. The commemorative Estampas soles was highly coveted as it was made especially for Make Your Own Havaianas Philippines. It has a special stamp, in gold markings this year on the chocolate brown and white soles to depict Havaianas history such as "1962", the year Havaianas was born in Brazil.
The delicious spread took into account the Havaianas history with Hawaiian, Brazilian, Filipino and Japanese (Wasabi ice cream!) dishes.To share its happiness, for every purchase of the Happiness pin, P100 went to Operation Smile."
